Skip Bins

skip bins are acquired, transported and transferred by the unique skip transporting lorry or crane. Construction products may be sent to a site in the skip, which can be later on used to transport the site's waste material away. A standard small skip, once vacant, weighs about 250 kilos (550lbs).In areas of the developing world, in which safe practices regulations may be poor, a vacant skip hoisted up high by a crane is used for an emergency platform for rescue workers to work from.
